Flanagan's Reserve June 2025

This was a quick weekend winter camping trip to Flanagan's Reserve near Mount Barney, 1hr 30mins drive from Brisbane.

While it was -2 degrees overnight the campground was lovely and had a solid stock of firewood ($20 / wheelbarrow load) and great facilities.

We went on Friday night and enjoyed Saturday lunch at the Rathdowney pub (can't go past a good parmi), and as it turned out the camp draft was on at the Rathdowney show ground so there were a few horses about.

After lunch we ventured to Barney Creek vineyards which had a good selection of red wines and beautiful scenery.

Next trip is Flinders Beach, North Stradbroke island in August!
